Remember the good times, even through difficult situations!

I am thankful for the Thanksgivings that I had with my mom. She would pull out her best dishes to put the food in that she prepared. The family would come by and we would say grace and eat. I can remember how the neighbors would go house to house sampling each other's cooking. It was a wonderful time to be had because we would enjoy each other's company and play music or someone would tell that story of how my uncle and my dad came in the house and ate up the Thanksgiving Ham one Thanksgiving. Talk about trouble but we survived it. This is the time of year where I really miss my mom because it is also her Birthday month but I am thankful for all the traditions that she taught me that has been passed down to all of her children and grandchildren. I am thankful to still have my dad and all my friends and family to share memories with and make new memories with. Now I get to prepare Thanksgiving meals with my own grandchildren. My granddaughter likes to take the neck and gizzards out of the turkey. We pretend were a delivering a baby and she really enjoys it and helps to season the turkey. I am thankful for my husband because he is chef#1 in my sight. Most of all I am thankful for God allowing me another year to spend with my family and having a roof over my head. What are you thankful for?
