Every day on Oasis Worship Center's Early Morning Glory Prayer, we share a daily word or phrase, giving the definition of the word, scripture reference and a personal testimony of how this word relates to the individual personal and/or spiritual life.  Here are some excerpts that we hope will bless and encourage you as you start your new day!

(Psalms 19:14)  Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing before You, O Jehovah, my Rock and my Redeemer.

God Has Given You Power and Authority! By Apostle L. Williams
I want to encourage YOU to take the authority that GOD has given each of YOU and speak LIFE and that more abundantly over YOUR LIVES and those in YOUR FAMILY. For God, has given us POWER over ALL (not just some) the works of the enemy, our adversary the Devil. YOU HAVE WHAT YOU SAY! We have not because we ask not!! Saints of God, the weapons of our warfare is not carnal, but mighty to the pulling down of strongholds!! Everything that YOU have yet to receive Shall COME to YOU, because God’s Word is True and it will not return back unto Him void, but will go forth and accomplish that which it is sent to do. Stand in agreement with me and let the Redeemed of the Lord say, “Amen!” So be it!

God Is My Provider / Elder Drexel Green-Brown /4.5.18

Provider: To take measure beforehand; to supply what is needed (Merriam Webster Dictionary)
Jehovah Jireh: “The Lord our Provider “or “The Lord will provide”

God is our source for everything we need, and he knows what we will need before we even ask. He is omniscient (all knowing), omnipresent (everywhere always), and omnipotent (all powerful). The problem with us is we miss out on what God has for us because we are depending on other people to supply us with what we need. Now don’t get me wrong, God will use people to bless us but it’s Him that we need to go to first to determine the best way to meet our needs. Philippians 4:19(AMP) “And my God will liberally supply (fill to the full) your every need according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. His word says in Matthew6:33- But seek (aim at and strive after) all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right) and then all these things taken together will be given you besides. That’s why it is important to have a relationship with Him. God should be our number one priority always because everything we need is found in Him. We have this connection with God because of his son Christ.

Let’s look at Abraham. In Genesis 22:3 God asks Abraham to take his son Isaac whom he loved and take him to the land of Moriah and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains of his choosing. Now can you imagine in this day and time, God telling you to sacrifice your child you love to show him that he is first in your life. So, Abraham does as he is instructed and takes the child and lays him on the wood of the burnt offering. Over in verse 22:8 he answers his son’s question as to where the lamb for the burnt offering will come from. God will provide himself the lamb he tells him. In verses 11-14, we see the angel of the Lord telling Abraham not to lay his hand on Isaac. Then an amazing thing happens, a ram is caught in the thicket by his horns and Abraham takes the ram and offers him up for a burnt offering instead of his son. Finally, we see that Abraham names the place Jehovah-Jireh. Now because Abraham was obedient to the Lord, he received his blessing over in verse 17; That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of heaven and as the sand which is upon the seashore; and thy seed shall possess the gates of his enemies. This is what God wants us to do. He wants us to obey Him and seek Him in all things not just some things but all things. We are blessed because through Abraham, all the families of the earth will be blessed. Why because Abraham obeyed God’s voice. John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. Do you realize that we could avoid so many pitfalls in life if only we would seek Him first and then wait for the answer? I know we tend to look at things in the natural and wonder how we are going to take care of our finances, homes, and families? God always has the answer but you’re trusting in what you can make happen instead of trusting in what he can do. Guilty! I have done it myself, but we weren’t supposed to carry these burdens, Jesus was and still is the one to carry our loads. Just one more thing look at how he provided for the children of Israel; they wandered through the dessert for 40years and not one of them fell ill or wanted for anything. He even gave them a land of milk and honey for which they did not build. Deut 2:7. Just think about all the times he made away out of no way. Amen

Do you have a Helper? Yes. the LORD is my Helper. I have learned to call Jeremiah 33:3, make my call known, Philippians 4:6 and help is on its way. I stop running around for help, stop calling million people, stop checking google for help and the best doc, kneel down and look up from where my help comes. God Is For Me! God Is My Help! God Is My All!, as you and I face struggles and challenges, and encounter burdens of various weights, we remember that we are not God’s helpers; He is our helper. My help comes from the Lord. Today, three years after cancer: 23 years after a divorce, 22 years after being air-lifted from an auto crash resulting in a three year memory lost, 11 months after a family division crisis; 20 years after the death of my son, 18 years after a church hurt; 11 years after bed ridden for four months; and 10 years after recession and employment downsizing, foreclosure on my retirement home; 10 years disabled and 4 years after suffering three gun shot wounds, witnessing my mother being shot and watching my sister being murdered, I have learned (Ps 118:8)—“It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.” Psalm 46:1, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. “I lift up my eyes to the hills-where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth”- Psalm 121:1

Words from the Apostle:

As I listen to my sister Betty Zanders share about her the hardships of her life this poem came into my mind.  Some people didn't have an easy life, things were not handed down to them on a silver platter, yet in the midst of insurmountable  odds they chose to make a better life for themselves and escaped from the valley of despair to rise up to become a shining example of God's Grace and Mercy.  I salute all of YOU men and women for your courage and faith who have overcome with this poem.

Devotional 12/11/2017  HAVE SOME RESPECT By Minister Juliana Nieto
Respect 1 Peter 2: 17 “Honor all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the King.”  (KJV)
Respect – respect of persons showing favoritism or partiality toward some people as apposed to others. {Nelson’s Bible Dictionary.} Honor or value, it literally means to place a great value or high price on something. ( This passage holds four major areas of our lives, teaching us that, as followers of Christ, we should respect all men, other Christians, God, and governmental authorities. First of all we must be careful in our conversation with all honesty treat people honorably no matter where they come from color of skin poor rich where they live, believers non believers whatever walk of life we are to show them proper respect because their souls are of more value than all the wealth in the world. We got to remember that we are all made in God’s image.  Love the brotherhood of believers - means to love all believers, regardless of color, nationality, opinions, or affiliations, we must demonstrate to the world that we love the brothers and sisters in Christ. The bottom line is that it is God alone whom we should “fear” in the sense of having an awed respect.  We honor and respect our governing authorities because they exist by the very will of God, such respect must be given whether we agree with them or not. Those in authority are God’s instruments for carrying out the purpose of governing and worthy of the respect God mandates.

The Word for Today is CONTENTMENT~ Devotional for 08.07.18 by Florence Houston
Scriptures: Philippians 4:11-13 & I Timothy 6:6-8
Meaning of CONTENTMENT; State of happiness and satisfaction. To be free from care because of satisfaction with what is already one’s own. To be pleased.  Are you in a state of contentment? You have to answer that question. I can say that as a Christian you should be, because Apostle Paul tells us in these six scriptures how to become content. No matter what your situation is; or even looks like with the carnal eye you should be happy within. The relationship we have with our Lord and Savior should give us full contentment. WHY? You ask; we quote Philippians 4:13 all the time even sinners know that and a few other scriptures, but do we understand it? I mean really understand what it is telling us? The verse goes in conjunction with Ephesians 6:10 (paraphrased) are strong in the power of the Lord and his might. Now Apostle Paul is telling us that if you are strong in your believe and have that relationship with the Lord, yes you will be strengthen because you can be satisfied with a lot or a little (abound or abased). If you have ever had a lot of anything and then you get down to a little you will become very nervous. GOD wants us to understand how to live with and without because He will supply our every need. As we read in Timothy, we have great gain in our Godliness though contentment. Big fancy cars and lots of money are not our riches on earth, those are material things that we obtain, and can we take them with us when we leave this world? We came into this world with nothing and will carry nothing out. Can you find contentment in knowing you helped someone turn to Christ, with a good book or watching a movie? When you can honestly say you feel good with whatever you have, then you have reached that space known as contentment. But, now if you are always trying to get more and more, what do I mean? More money, more house, more cars, more clothes, more, more, more, are you happy? Think about it; have you learnt to be abound or abased. People who need more are always too busy trying to get more. GOD blesses us with nice Houses and cars according to our faith and our ability to have contentment with or without. Another thing is that contentment runs hand and hand with grateful.  A grateful person is one who has learned to focus on the good things in their life and is appreciative and thankful. So ask yourself do you have CONTENTMENT?  AMEN
