We all should desire to learn more about how to properly care for our physical bodies which includes our bones and
limbs, heart, hair, teeth and all the members combined from our feet and toes, to the smallest blood cell. We are fearfully
and wonderfully made. The human body is awesome and unique and we must learn how to appreciate it, by doing everything possible
to make sure we are healthy inside and outwardly. (Psalms 139:14) I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are
thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
Our physical appearance is just a fraction of who we truly are, for true beauty lies within all of us, even those who
may not seem to be attractive to those who consider themselves fashionable, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
Some people are lovely to look at, but inwardly they are rotten to the core, with jealousy, envy, malice, hatred and
un-forgiveness and evil thoughts that are poisoning and destroying their bodies and souls. Just because we don’t
always see a person’s sickness or disease, certainly doesn’t mean that it doesn’t exist or that it may be
destroying that individual’s life. This is why it’s so important
that we learn as much as possible about the human body and how to care for it, the more we know and put into daily practice,
gives us a better chance at having a longer and healthier life. God said, “I
would that you prosper and be in good health, even as your soul prospereth.”
We can wear expensive clothes to make us look good, put on enticing and intoxicating fragrances to make us smell good,
have our hair cut, washed and styled to give us the sophisticated new look, even take time and get a pedicure for our tired
and weary feet, and or a manicure for rough hands and chipped nails; all these things may make us feel good and look wonderful
but will be to no avail if we don’t physically exercise and keep our bodies in good shape. Exercise for the body is just as important as what we wear to enhance the appearance of our physical form. All the beautiful clothes and accessories in the world won’t help a person,
who fails to maintain their health and become physically disabled, crippled and handicapped from not taking the precautions
to maintain their health, not due to birth defects, incidents or accidents that caused their physical disability. While some
people have suffered in their bodies with severe pain from crippling and debilitating disease such as arthritis, inflammation
of the joints and limbs, osteoporosis, rheumatism and fibromyalgia, sometimes our affliction and aliment is the direct result
of allowing cold air to flow into your body, that can alter and change your body temperature, especially if you’re used
to a warmer climate, or even if you’ve been exposed to extreme heat which could be weather related, or from physical
exercise; you still need to give your body time to adjust to the changes in elements and atmosphere. Best thing is to cover
up those parts of the body that were or are exposed, so that you don’t get chilled to the bones and then suffer from
aches and pain later!
I have learned that regardless of how funny I may look to others, I’m the one who is hurting and in pain when
I don’t take time to protect my skin from harsh cold winds and freezing temperatures, and contrary to what I was told,
even my bronze skin can get sun burned and sun poisoning from exposure of too much direct sunlight in the searing summer months
or from change in climate from traveling from Texas to Africa and then to Chicago in the winter months, without preparing
myself physically to adapt to the changes in the environment, the weather and different climates atmosphere. Sometimes you have to put more clothes on, other times we need to shed and wear less so that our skin can
breathe and our pores are not clogged. Yes, we definitely need to learn to use
wisdom when it comes to learning how to take care of these bodies, so we can live long, and be in good health.
